Dolphin Watercraft

Forget swimming with the dolphins

Swim like a dolphin!

Amazing concept and design. When i saw the image above i thought this may be photoshop!? Or perhaps just a concept design mock up, rendered in 3D software, I was excitingly wrong if you follow this link you can see the rest of the photos that prove this is an actual working demo model. This single engine vehicle is capable of submerging underwater, and move very much like a real dolphin, tricks and all. I’ve heard it was seen on one of the Austin Powers movie but i don’t recall! The innerspace team is currently working on a two seater model so you can take a friend.

The single-seat Angel draws power from a 110-horsepower Yamaha Waverunner engine. The vessel is 14 feet, 6 inches long and just less than 3 feet wide at the cockpit. (Its wingspan is 6 feet, 10 inches.”

Oh yeah, theres video too

Elsewhere, in Redding, Californita there is another company that shares this vision. “NoLand corporation”:http://www.bionicdolphin.com/cms/index.php, designers of the VASH (Variable Attitude Submersible Hydrofoil) also called bionicdolphin™
dolphin boat

“Powered by a 425-horsepower Corvette engine, the bionic dolphin can cruise the water’s surface at up to 55 mph. Passengers wear a four-point seat belt similar to those found in race cars.
Constructed of a combination of materials that includes Kevlar—the material used in bulletproof vests—the dolphin is built to withstand rough conditions, including 200 mph winds.”

The question now is who’s the original creator of the concept? Can two brilliant minds create simultaneously, both isolated from each others ideas and both have similar designs?

Noland Corporation, TARCO Research and BionicDolphin.com are currently the ONLY legitimate, authorized contacts for the patented VASH, Bionic Dolphin™ (submersible dolphin, dolphin watercraft) technology. No licensing has been granted for entertainment, exhibitions, rides, racing, manufacturing or distribution at this point. Any claims to the contrary by Innespace productions or any other entity other than those mentioned above must be considered false and misleading.

At a glance the major difference I see between these two is power. Whats better:

  1. 110-horsepower Yamaha Waverunner engine or
  2. 425-horsepower Corvette engine
